Career Week Recap February 2026!

During Career Week 2026, our students stepped beyond the rink and into real-world systems, gaining exposure to careers across sports, medicine, arts, business, and creative industries — all to expand their vision of what their futures can hold.

At Domino Park, students were gifted private ice time — uninterrupted practice to refine edges, strengthen jumps, and build confidence through repetition. They also toured rink maintenance operations to see what it takes to keep a sheet of ice performance-ready and how science and engineering power the sport.

Our girls traveled to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for an inspiring visit, during which professionals from radiology to ultrasound shared insights into their day-to-day work and the growing role of AI in healthcare. The visit included a hands-on ultrasound workshop and a dynamic career panel that broadened students’ understanding of medicine and technology.

Through a special visit to Essie Green Galleries in Harlem, students explored how art, history, and community preservation intersect. They learned the importance of Black art collection and how careers in galleries connect business, storytelling, curation, and cultural stewardship.

Our scholars proudly participated in the Math-A-Thon hosted by Harlem Commonwealth Council, where they sharpened problem-solving skills and demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and academic confidence in a spirited competition.

At the Kith Headquarters via Kinnect, students toured the brand’s HQ and heard from communications and impact leaders about storytelling, marketing, strategy, and community engagement. A special message from an FSH alumna now working at Kith brought the experience full circle, showing how passion, preparation, and opportunity align.

Career Week concluded with What’s The Tea?, an empowering closing reception with FSH’s Alumni Board. Students reflected on identity, leadership, and professional presence — even completing the Myers-Briggs (16 Personalities) assessment to connect personality traits to future pathways. Alumni shared candid insights on navigating the workplace as women of color, fostering mentorship, confidence, and cross-generational connections.

Through these immersive experiences, our students expanded their horizons, explored new industries, and gained valuable insights to help shape their futures.

We are deeply grateful to all of our partners for supporting our mission to empower the next generation of leaders through exposure, access, and possibility.
