Program Director

Antwuan Walker has been a member of the FSH family since 2009 when his daughter joined the program. In 2017, he joined the team as a part-time youth development consultant and was ultimately hired as the Director of Leadership. He received his BA in Social Sciences from Binghamton University. After being accepted as a New York City Teaching Fellow, he completed all of the graduate requirements towards his Master’s in Special Education at City College of New York. Antwuan has 20-plus years of experience as a public servant; he was a teacher and Dean of Students in the New York City public school system and a Child Welfare Specialist and Community Coordinator at the New York City Administration for Children’s Services. He has a passion for educating, inspiring and empowering young people. He deems himself a Youth Development practitioner and is motivated by the belief that “all children are our children and we all have a responsibility to protect them at all costs.” It is with this passion and commitment that he serves the families of Figure Skating in Harlem.

FSH’s programs work with hundreds of girls annually on the ice and in the classroom. Our staff has grown from 3 to more than 75 coaches, teachers, tutors and counselors.
