Brigida Littles

VP, Programming & Student Affairs

Biography

With more than 27 years of experience teaching, mentoring, and leading with the New York City Department of Education, Brigida brings both heart and strategy to her role as Vice President of Programming and Student Affairs. A founding teacher in one of the city’s award-winning schools and a proud recipient of the prestigious Blackboard Award for Excellence in Education, she has spent her career helping students, families, and educators thrive.
Trained and certified at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence’s RULER Institute, Brigida has championed social-emotional learning long before it became a buzzword—turnkeying districtwide initiatives that transformed school culture, language, and behavior. She has also played a leadership role in district DEI efforts and nationally leading mathematics reconstruction and literacy initiatives, ensuring that academic rigor and emotional well-being go hand in hand.

A lifelong educator and community builder, Brigida is also a 24-year volunteer parent and proud mother of two Figure Skating in Harlem alumnae, experiences that uniquely shape her ability to connect with families and mentor young people. She believes that every child—and every adult working with them—deserves to be seen, supported, and inspired to shine on and off the ice.
