Skating With The Stars Gala
Our Skating with the Stars Gala is Figure Skating in Harlem's annual benefit where the world's greatest skaters along with celebrities, corporate and community leaders come together for a fun-filled evening of ice skating at the Trump Wollman Rink in iconic Central Park. Experience the thrill of skating side by side with your favorite Olympians and bidding on exciting auction items all to benefit the deserving young girls of Figure Skating in Harlem.
Past attendees have included Donald J. Trump, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Kelly Rowland, Carson Kressley, the stars of Law and Order: SVU, skating luminaries Scott Hamilton, Michelle Kwan, Dorothy Hamill, Sarah Hughes, Evan Lysacek, Emily Hughes, Sasha Cohen, Tai Babilonia, Johnny Weir, Viktor Petrenko, and many more. Sponsors have included the Walt Disney Company, Bloomberg, New York Post, Goldman Sachs, Macy’s & Bloomingdale’s, Continental Airlines, American Express, Marshalls, SoftSheen-Carson/L'Oreal and more.
Last year's Skating with the Stars Gala was held on Monday, April 4th, 2011, honoring Sarah Hughes, Tina Lundgren and Terry Lundgren. The gala raised over six hundred thousand dollars for our organization, including one hundred thousand dollars from The Pioneer Fund to support our newly established Academic Center. The event was attended by over 600 guests, including Vera Wang, Kenneth Cole, Maria Cuomo Cole, Ann and Andrew Tisch, Dee and Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Chris Meloni, and Tamara Tunie.
This year's Skating with the Stars Gala wil be held on Monday, April 2nd from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. We will be honoring Vera Wang & Ellen Lowey, so please mark the date on your calendars!
